Random Babblings

Still new in town, we went out for chinese food at the chain that can be best described as “a restaurant that has been embraced by diners across the country.” “Fresh, contemporary and consistently outstanding are (their) trademarks” – nothing fancy, basically a chinese restaurant located in the mall.  It was here where we first saw Bill & Melinda Gates.  

 

I thought Colin was must be joking when we walked passed the restaurant “windows” and he pointed them out.  But it was true, there they were, live & in person.  Throughout dinner, we strained to make eye contact with Bill at the next table but to no avail.  I thought we’d have better luck if I tried the Vulcan greeting, to which Colin replied by kicking me under the table. 

 

 

So here we are in the land of the free, home of the brave, where apparently where you need a social security number in order to get anything done and also so they can start tracking you.  And without one, you don’t have an “identity”, which is where I seem to fit in right about now. Seems that Simon, our beloved feline travelling companion, and I have crossed the border with the same rights and privileges.  Only he had to show a “certificate of castration”… so it could be worse.
