Random Babblings

Cole is so excited about the anticipated arrival of a new friend and addition to the B’Baby Gang that he can’t resist but to pinch my cheek.  Special thanks to Cole’s mom for giving me the shirt off her back and sharing her maternity wardrobe bounty with me.

Feeling underrepresented on the website, Simon decides to start his own blog but quickly gives up when he struggles with writer’s block.

Baby Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
“Virgo babies thrive on routine and are perfectionists. Don’t even think about changing bath time or breakfast — your baby will be very fussy and upset. Virgos are very particular about what they like and can amuse themselves for hours with a simple toy. This is a special shout out to my girl Julie R in Vancouver and a special thanks for sharing her MAGIC brown cords with me.  They almost made it with me into my fifth month of pregnancy.  That is until I went home to Burlington to visit where I mysteriously gained 6+ pounds in 10 days.  Beware to all of the hidden calories and addictive ingredients contained in mom’s apple strudel, Sonja’s smartie cake, Arvella’s chocolate money cake, the sugar cookies hidden in the fruit cellar, Efi’s homemade buns and all those people who convinced me this was okay because I was now “eating for two” – even though one of us is only 6 inches tall.

Video Game Review #1: Lego Star Wars (Gamecube)

IVA SAYS:  I like that there are no small choking pieces with this virtual game version of Lego.  The drop-in/drop-out functionality lets you drop-out of a level that perhaps you are unable to clear for yourself, like say Pod Racing, and let your husband (or 8 year old nephew) complete it for you instead.  The force is definitely with this game.

COLIN SAYS: I like this game. The little LEGO characters are realistic and it’s fun when their little heads pop off.

Video Game Review #2: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (Xbox 360)

IVA SAYS:  “When are you going to be finished playing that game.  Can you please turn down the volume?!”  Definitely a boy’s game.

COLIN SAYS:  This is the best game ever. You can play a little bit at a time and the graphics are incredible. The characters are very realistic and it’s fun when their little heads pop off.
