Somebody’s been sitting in my chair!
July 25, 2006 — IvaAnd he’s still there! Of course it’s Simon and of course it’s the glider/rocker we’ve purchased for the baby’s room that I even haven’t sat on yet. The unusual part is that Simon has never been much of a chair or sofa lounger, he’s normally taken to sleeping in more original places like atop a pile of dirty laundry or the guest room. So this new found affinity for our new chair comes somewhat as a surprise. Perhaps he’s just warming it up for the baby. Let’s assume he has the best intentions at this time.

July 20, 2006 — IvaOur apartment rental complex is like living on the set of 227. You can hear everyone’s business in the back courtyard, including the loud sex lady, socialising eastern Europeans (not me in these examples) and barking dogs. Especially the little white dog, for whom animal cruelty prevention organizations were created to protect.
Here’s a bad idea, unless you want everyone else to hear – stand near the window and say in a regular voice “Hey Colin, I can see the neighbours naked again”. (insert here visual of blinds now being shut)

July 18, 2006 — IvaToday marks the 15 year anniversary of the very first Lollapalooza. Please take a few moments to pay homage to Perry Farrell, the mastermind behind the defining summer concert series of our youth.
Perry Ferrell created the Lollapalooza festival as a farewell tour for Jane’s Addicton. “Lollapalooza ran consecutively as a travelling festival until 1997. Farrell is therefore generally acknowledged as one of the “godfathers” of alternative rock music.”
“The festival encapsulated American youth culture for the 1990s much as Woodstock did for the 1960s.”
