Random Babblings

We are very excited to be celebrating Roxanna’s first Halloween this year.  She has not one, but two parties to attend and if we still have energy left after that we will be hitting the mall for some trick or treating.  Yes that’s right, trick or treating at the mall!! I am more than ready to openly embrace this American custom which combines two of my favourite pastimes. Shopping, free candy… what’s not to love?! God bless America and a Happy Halloween to all!

Simon doesn’t score any extra points with Roxie by showing off his ability to rollover. Not impressed.

Sharing secrets with her great auntie Kate and cousin Jane, it looks like these girls are up to something.

Friends and family have been asking how Simon (our notoriously alpha-male cat) has adapted to having a new companion in the household and I can honestly say, quite well. Having never been much of a “lap cat”, I think he enjoys having a distraction in the home that takes away from the mandatory kitty cuddling time he is subjected to. He tolerates Roxie but much prefers spending time with her accessories.  Perhaps Babies R Us should consider expanding the marketing of their product line to include pets.

At 5 weeks & a day, Simon still outweighs Roxanna.

Given 30 minutes while the baby naps, what would you do first:

a)       Take a shower.  My rationale – look good while cleaning the cat puke later.  My reality - step in cat puke and eat breakfast much later.  To top it off, the baby was pooped on by a seagull later in the afternoon.
