Someone in the family suggested using baby oil to style Roxanna’s hair. Seems it’s still defying the laws of gravity, except now she bears a resemblance to Ed Grimley.
It’s not what it looks like. Simon is innocent, I swear. He was merely testing the ergonomic comforts of the crib mattress… when no one was looking. However, once caught, SOMEONE (Colin) placed the baby down next to him for this photo opportunity.
On a baby product related note, Simon gives the Evenflo Exersaucer a 5 out of 5 star rating for combining comfort and fun. Thanks Weebledad for this baby/cat toy! Probably not what you expected, but its already being put to good use. We expect if Simon keeps using it, he will have abs of steal in no time. ![]()
Halloween was a smashing success!! Turns out Roxanna loves dressing up in costume and even enjoyed wearing a wig. Here’s how the day’s highlights unfolded…
First, she posed for photos at home as the world’s cutest ballerina. A special thank you goes out to our very own Project Runway superstar and expert mini-toutou designer, Grandma Lois, who put this costume together for our little Roxie.
Having never been good with accessories myself, I dropped the ball on putting the finishing touches on her sparkly head band. Imagine it , if you will.
Bundled in her faux fur (courtesy of her personal stylist who generously provided this ultimate baby wardrobe essential), Roxanna was ready to make her Halloween debut.
First stop, our mommy and baby play group. Even with lots of overheated and crying babies the moms were still all smiles, especially when we took this photo of a pile of babies in costume.
Next stop, Microsoft head office for some trick or treating. And what do you know, Roxanna she likes to share her candy, so I was quite pleased with that.
In retrospect, Colin probably should have dressed up in costume as Bill Gates, non?! And then when people at work asked what he was he could have responded, “I’m Bill Gates”. I think this would have been very funny, as long HR or security weren’t involved.
At the end of the day we found ourselves stuck in Halloween commuter traffic on the way home for almost 2 hours, but well worth it after such a fun and busy day. By 8:30pm we were all asleep and dreaming about next year.
