Random Babblings

After an extensive search, quick move and a very busy week of unpacking, we have mostly settled into our new house.

A big thanks to my brother-in-law Gary who did much of my share of the load, without whom I would still be hiding under a a huge pile of boxes. I quite quickly became accustomed to having the assistance of a manny, grill master, handy man, and personal driver at my disposal. And don’t forget to ask Gary about the “Nutty Uncle” when you see him.

Roxanna takes some time away from unpacking to go on a tour of the Museum of Flight with her bodyguard.

This past weekend, Roxanna made her debut flower girl performance at her second cousin Alex’s wedding. She did a fine job of embracing the spirit of the role, to the extent of becoming somewhat distracted and toppling over into the wild daises lining the aisle during the outdoor ceremony. But our little girl is a trouper and got right back up and continued her quest to pick more flowers to add to her basket. As mother of the flower girl, I couldn’t have been more proud.

Congratulations and thank you to Alex and Kristell for the honour of letting our family be a part of your special day! It was a fun weekend and we look forward to seeing you both this September.

And here’s to starting new family traditions, as clearly no wedding brunch is complete without a piñata that is taller than the flower girl!
